Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

In my my review of Jamie McGuire's amazing Beautiful Disaster, I said in it was like crack. Well, her spectacular sequel, Walking Disaster, is a speedball of cocaine and heroine combined! I was euphoric, angry, depressed, insanely happy, and I was beyond addicted!

Travis Maddox's scarred psyche + a deep soulful love + maintaining that love through sheer force of will = the trifecta of amazingness! There were some seriously painful moments but they were brilliantly balanced with moments of pure hilarity. There were so many LMAO moments I'm sure I did permanent damage to my stomach muscles because of laughing so hard and so often. Being in Travis' head was painful, fascinating, and funny as hell! This boy's psyche needs to be in the Louvre – because it's a work of art!

Sempre(Forever) by J.M. Darhower

My. Mind. Is. Blown. This book is magnificent. Sempre by J.M. Darhower is the superior, compelling, captivating, incomparable story of acceptance, redemption, choices, betrayal, sacrifice (oh, the sacrifices!!), devotion, hope, and searingly passionate, all-consuming love.

This book is much more complex than I had expected. I was astounded by the intense emotions it stirred within me and by the thought-provoking issues it brought to mind. This story will haunt you for days and will forever be ingrained in your mind. Carmine and Haven's love is supremely beautiful. This is the story of a young girl who was raised as a slave, and a boy who teaches her what it is like to live. Haven Antonelli and Carmine DeMarco are two people who grew up in completely different worlds but are thrown together and find love, freedom, and meaning in their life through loving one another.

Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard

Gabriel Emerson is a thirty-three year old professor the University of Toronto. He reads older because of his intellect and, quite honestly, the way he treats Julia. In the beginning he treats her like a wayward child. Julia is twenty-three and a grad student that ends up at the university when, due to extenuating circumstances, she is unable to go to Harvard. Her area of study, Dante, just happens to be Gabriel's specialty. It becomes obvious quite early on that it isn't a coincidence that Julia is attending college there. Clearly Gabriel and Julia have history that isn't fully revealed until about halfway through Gabriel's Inferno.
