Fifty Shades of Grey Begins Filming in Vancouver

Fifty Shades of Grey has officially started shooting!

Author E L James was the first to tip fans off that filming had begun when she shared the above image of the film's clapboard on her official Twitter and Instagram accounts. Photos then surfaced of stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson on set. The pair were spotted filming scenes in Vancouver, British Columbia over the weekend and I could not be more excited! Check out some of the photos from the set below.

Max Martini and Jennifer Ehle

According to Variety, Max Martini is in final negotiations to play Christian Grey’s bodyguard, Jason Taylor, in Fifty Shades of Grey. Jennifer Ehle has also been confirmed as part of the official cast taking on the role of Carla Adams, Anastasia Steele's mother.

Eloise Mumford

Eloise Mumford will play Kate Kavanagh, Anastasia Steele’s best friend and roommate, in Fifty Shades of Grey. The deal, which Variety announced first, was finalized last night and is one of the last major castings in the much buzzed about film.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson on Entertainment Weekly

We finally get our first glimpse of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which features the Fifty Shades of Grey costars on the cover of its November 22 issue. It's the first time the actors have been photographed together – decked out as their characters no less! – since they were cast in the film adaptation of EL James' bestselling novel and we've got all the photos from the spread right here!

It's also the first time the stars have spoken about their involvement with the highly publicized film. So what can you expect? Jamie and Dakota open up about what drew them to the roles, the pressures behind getting the roles right for the fans, and how they feel about baring it all on screen.

Fifty Shades of Grey

Universal has moved the release date for Fifty Shades of Grey to February 13, 2015. The film had originally been set for release on August 1, 2014.

The delay comes as no surprise after Charlie Hunnam abruptly dropped out of the project after being cast as Christian Grey. As disappointed as we were to see that happen, Jamie Dornan was cast in his place a few weeks later and all was right in the world again.
