Fifty Shades of Grey Begins Filming in Vancouver

Fifty Shades of Grey has officially started shooting!

Author E L James was the first to tip fans off that filming had begun when she shared the above image of the film's clapboard on her official Twitter and Instagram accounts. Photos then surfaced of stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson on set. The pair were spotted filming scenes in Vancouver, British Columbia over the weekend and I could not be more excited! Check out some of the photos from the set below.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson on Entertainment Weekly

We finally get our first glimpse of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which features the Fifty Shades of Grey costars on the cover of its November 22 issue. It's the first time the actors have been photographed together – decked out as their characters no less! – since they were cast in the film adaptation of EL James' bestselling novel and we've got all the photos from the spread right here!

It's also the first time the stars have spoken about their involvement with the highly publicized film. So what can you expect? Jamie and Dakota open up about what drew them to the roles, the pressures behind getting the roles right for the fans, and how they feel about baring it all on screen.

Fifty Shades of Grey star Charlie Hunnam

Fifty Shades of Grey's leading man, Charlie Hunnam, was at the season 6 premier party for his hit cable series, Sons of Anarchy, over the weekend and took the opportunity to chat about his latest role as kinky CEO Christian Grey. Charlie was all smiles and didn't seem to be fazed by all the criticism he's received since the big casting announcement was made.

All smiles, the hunky Brit spoke with E! News during the premier party and they didn't waste any time asking him how he feels about shooting so many scenes that require nudity, S&M and sex.

Actress Dakota Johnson

It's official! E L James has announced that the highly coveted role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of her bestselling novel Fifty Shades of Grey has gone to newcomer Dakota Johnson. The actress had been rumoured to be a front runner for the starring role in recent weeks, but James made it official via her much followed Twitter account earlier today.
